About | Isabel Balderas was born in Veracruz, Mexico, but grew up in the city of Puebla, where she completed her degree in gastronomy at the Instituto Gastronómico Poblano. She worked in hotels such as Sheraton and Marriott in Cancún, as well as Meliá in Los Cabos. In Puebla, she owned a food store called “Comida Alternativa,” which had a similar concept to “bio shops.” In 2006, she studied hospitality for a year at Harrow House International College in the United Kingdom and continued her experience at Hotel Fisher in Pitlochry, Scotland, Strada Restaurant in Salisbury, England. In her current city, Warsaw, Poland, where she worked at Marriott Hotel, Intercontinental Hotel, Blue Cactus restaurant, Dos Tacos restaurant, and is now the chef and owner of Santa Catrina and Santo Burrito restaurants. |
Bio | Additionally, Isabel serves as a culinary instructor at various culinary schools across Poland, including Skład Bananów (Warsaw), Cook Up (Warsaw), Atuty (Białystok), Kulinarne Kreacje (Kraków), Cookiness (Wrocław), and Pracownia Kulinarna (Jelenia Góra). Isabel has made multiple appearances on Polish television and radio (PnS, Jedynka, Trójka, Czwórka, RTC, Wnet), and has been featured in various culinary magazines, blogs, and festivals. |
More | Isabel has participated for five consecutive years in the “Navidad Mexicana” event in Vatican City and serves as a culinary consultant for the opening of Mexican restaurants in various cities across Poland.
