An agave specialist by trade and nature, Jon had the pleasure of working in the UK’s most influential agave bars – Café Pacifico, El Camión and the Wahaca Group.
Equipped with a passion and in-depth knowledge for all things agave, he moved into influential sales and ambassador roles, where he helped pioneer the launch of mezcal in the UK and sharpened his training skills.
He possesses an irrefutable network of contacts in the UK and Europe and has visited many agave distilleries in Mexico.

Since Jon moved to London in 1996 from his native Norway, after his studies, he ended up working in renewed restaurants and bars, getting to know some of the most outstanding people in the hospitality industry.
Until agave found him, through the great Tomas Estes working at Café Pacifico.
Later he shared his passion, collaborating for Amathus Drinks with the company’s well-known agave spirits brands portfolio.

Currently, he is working as a European Brand Ambassador for Casa Lumbre. The Mexican owner and creator of brands such as Almave Non-Alcoholic agave spirit, Nixta Corn Liquor, Abasolo Mexican Corn Whisky, Alma Finca Mexican Orange Liquor, Ojo de Tigre Mezcal, Defrente Tequila, Nocheluna Sotol, Contraluz Mezcal. There are also a few more brands not available in the UK or Europe.
He also works with AliasSmith AB, creator of Beso agave syrup, as well with Amber Beverage Group, working on promoting Tequila Arette in the U.K.
Jon Anders travelled to Mexico the first time in 2005 and has been back every year since then.
